A snowmobiler is dead after becoming buried in an avalanche along Daisy Pass Wednesday afternoon.

Strong winds blew the roof off of a building along North Main Street in Walkerville this afternoon.

A 51-year-old Utah woman who was hit by a train in Billings on Wednesday is in critical condition at Billings Clinic.
She apparently stepped out in front of the train, according to witnesses. It happened at about 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Laurel Road and Moore Lane.

Over the seven days, several snow storms have been dumping good mountain snow around SW Montana and the snow/water percent of average numbers are slowly rising.
One of the biggest increases has been in the Gallatin River basins, last week 70% of average this week up to 80% of average. (More)

Walter Larson has been arrested in connection with the 2008 homicide of Susan Casey of Glendive.

All semis and towing along Interstate 90 are being detoured through Livingston due to the severity of increasing wind activity from the Bozeman Pass through Livingston to Springdale, according to the Montana Department of Transportation.
