Armed man arrested in WA in stolen Montana truck

A man pulled over and arrested by campus police at the University of Washington in Seattle on Wednesday night was driving a truck that was reportedly stolen in Montana, possibly in or near Butte.

University police, the Seattle Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating after finding a stolen scope rifle, stolen shotgun, suspected incendiary devices, and body armor in the truck.

The suspect, Nevada resident Justin Miles Jasper, was stopped in the 3400 block of Sand Point Way Northeast.

The man was booked into King County Jail.

"At this point, there does not appear to be any threat to the University of Washington community," Sgt. Sean Whitcomb said in a press release. "This is an on-going criminal investigation."
