Every year Bozeman elementary students receive a visit from a very prominent figure of American history. It is none other than our country's first president.

George and Martha Washington stopped by first grade classes at Morning Star Elementary Tuesday.

School Board trustee Ed Churchill plays George. He teaches kids about the Washington's dispelling myths:

No, George Washington did not have wooden teeth.

No, he did not throw a silver dollar across the Potomac.

And no, Washington did not chop down the cherry tree.

Gallatin Empire Lions Club members also teach the students the history of the American flag.

Children learn the significance of the stars and bars, how the flag has evolved and even where Montana's star is. That's two stars up, and two stars from the left.

During their visit, Lions Club members gave the students American flags of their own.
