A Bozeman man has been sentenced for his involvement in a methamphetamine ring that operated in the area in 2007.

Judd Schwartz, 37, was sentenced before U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy today to serve 41 months in prison and four years supervised release, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Schwartz pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Schwartz was part of a trafficking organization that was responsible for distributing pounds of meth in Gallatin County and ended with the arrest of several people, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Schwartz was described as a mid-level distributor in the organization. He reportedly received meth from other local sources, used some of it, and distributed the rest to users in and around Bozeman.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Missouri River Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
