Synara Rae Holbrook isn't even a day old yet and already has a reason to celebrate. She is the first baby born in 2011 at St. James Healthcare in Butte.
Mom Amber Nardacci says Synara was born by Caesarean section at 7:20 a.m. Monday.
The new baby is the mother's first child and second for the father, Shane Holbrook. She weighs 5 pounds 14 ounces and is 19 inches long. She has a full head of hair.
The parents, who are from Anaconda, couldn't be happier about their new bundle of joy and the added surprise of having the first baby of 2011.
Because Synara is St. James' first baby of 2011, she and her parents received gift baskets of over $600 worth of clothes, gift cards, a teddy bear and more. All the items were donated to the hospital.Community Hospital of Anaconda welcomed the first baby of 2011 on Sunday, Jan 2.
Gavin Michael Hilmo weighed 8 pounds, 3.9 ounces and was 20 inches long when he arrived at 1:28 a.m. Gavin is the son of Tami Rowe and joins brother Kevin Hilmo, age 5.
They received a gift basket from Community Hospital of Anaconda and the Hospital Auxiliary.
