Butte police are following up on some leads as they continue to investigate Wednesday's crime spree in a neighborhood in the Country Club area.

Police received a total of 17 reports, mostly involving theft, vandalism and criminal mischief.

The first report came into dispatch just before 5 a.m. with the caller describing items scattered across Redwood Drive.  Police Captain George Skuletich says several vehicles and mail boxes were rifled through with items either stolen or dumped on the streets. Most of the vehicles were unlocked and stolen items include a couple of GPS units and a gift card.

Police responded to reports called in from residents on Fleecer, Cedar Lake, Bittersweet, Pintler Lane, Country Club, Bittersweet and Rampart.

Anyone with information is asked to call Police at 497-1120 or Crimestoppers at 782-7336. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
