A Butte civil judge is now facing new criminal charges, accused of fraudulently obtaining dangerous drugs.

Charges were filed today against Butte Justice of the Peace Bob Lee. Lee is accused of fraudulently obtaining methadone from multiple physicians in multiple cities. The latest felony charges run from Feb.1 through Nov. 4, 2010.

This comes after Lee was accused of driving under the influence of methadone.

The state alleges that on Nov.13, 2010 Lee drove his vehicle to the courthouse while under the influence of the narcotic, which is classified as a dangerous drug. The defense argued the case should be dismissed, claiming no one saw Lee driving his vehicle on that day. Lee pleaded not guilty to the charge in May.
