The Butte-Silver Bow Public Library just received a shipment of more than 30 new computers.

Boxes containing the new technology are currently stacked up in the library. The $63,000 worth of new equipment is from a Broadband Technologies Opportunities Program grant. It includes 10 desktop computers, five children's computers, 20 laptops, two touch screen workstations, 20 sets of headphones and much more.

Director Lee Phillips says everything should be out of the boxes and ready for use at the library's grand reopening on April 1.

"On top of the new carpet and the new paint, these computers are going to look great, so we're really excited to welcome the public back into their public libraries, both locations, and we're really excited to give them an opportunity to use state of the art equipment," Phillips said.

The library will also be receiving furniture for the new computers, including laptop caddies, tables and chairs.
