School administrators in Butte submitted a counter offer to the school district on Tuesday, according to Union Representative Bill Rowe.
Rowe said the Butte School Board of Trustees will vote on the counter offer at a meeting Wednesday, September 14 at 5 p.m. Rowe said if the board doesn't approve the counter offer then they will try to schedule a mediation session on Thursday.
Fifteen administrators called the strike on Tuesday, September 6 after district officials and administrators failed to reach an agreement over salary. The district had proposed mediation prior to the strike but it was rejected by the administrators.
Last Thursday a judge granted a temporary restraining order, barring school administrators from striking and the school from cancelling classes. A hearing will be held before District Judge Brad Newman on Friday, September 16.
