Butte Central Catholic Elementary School will be hosting a Christian lecturer Wednesday morning, according to Principal Kerrie Heard.

Sam Kauffman, a published author, composer, dramatist, lyricist and musician, will be traveling from California to give her lecture titled ‘Skills for Living a Christian Life. Kauffman will tell true stories and play interactive games with her audience to illustrate her message.

"I hope our students will have that aha moment where they realize things they say or do may not seem harmful are mean to them, but can be very detrimental to someone else," Heard said. "They have heard it from their parents and they have heard it from their teachers hopefully hearing it from someone else in a new and different way will help them see it from a different perspective."

The lecture is open to the public and is free to attend. Students will gather in the gymnasium before 9:30 a.m.
