In Class A action it was Butte Central taking on Hamilton in round one Thursday.
Frenchtown was first on the board as Shelby Jitila had strong drive, giving the Lady Broncs an early lead.
Then it was Kelsey Fallis inside to Brittany Belker. She had a team-high 14 points. Frenchtown was up 12-8 early in the second quarter.
Then it was Butte Central with some nice ball movement. Lexie Murphy goes inside to Brynne
Kambich and the Maroons are rolling now.
Quinn Peoples had a team high 14 points.
Butte Central goes on to win it 49-34. They will play Billings Central at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Also in the Class A, Anaconda starts its quest for a third straight title, taking on Havre.
Early on, Rachel Wagner gets penetration and scores from the baseline. Anaconda goes up by two points. Then Cara McNeil hits the bank shot from the top of the key to make it 5-0.
Anaconda was still pulling away early. Lisa Laslovich drills a three to make it 8-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Anaconda takes it down in round one with a 56 to 30 win.
