Consumer Index drops another point

The Rasmussen Reports Consumer Index dropped another point Thursday and is down three points from three months ago.

62% of Consumers, Investors Say U.S. In A Recession
Rasmussen Reports Survey of 1,500 American Adults

• The Rasmussen Consumer Index dropped a point on Thursday to 84.8, up six points from a week ago, but down two points from a month ago and down three points from three months ago.

• For the full month of July, the Consumer Index slipped to 84.7, the lowest level of 2012.

• The Rasmussen Investor Index fell six points to 89.6, showing little change from a week ago, but down six points from a month ago and down four points from three months ago.

• 62% of consumers and 62% of investors continue to believe the U.S. economy is currently in a recession.
