Montana has now joined the list of states hit by the egg recall because of risks of a salmonella infection.

Potentially tainted eggs in Montana were sold under the brand names Albertsons, Sparboe Farms, Liborio Market, Shamrock Foods and Glenview Farms.

You can find out how to identify if eggs you have may be affected by the recall at this website: http://www.fda.gov/Food/NewsEvents/WhatsNewinFood/ucm223536.htm The link tells how to use information stamped on egg boxes to determine if you have eggs produced at the affected plants.

Initial investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) traced contaminated eggs to just a few large-scale operations in Iowa, although recalled eggs distributed in Montana came from Minnesota.
