UPDATE on 19 Mile Fire - 9 a.m. Sept. 2:

According to officials, evacuation orders have been lifted for residents in all zones effective at 8 a.m. this morning.

Crews continue to reinforce and monitor handlines along most of the fire's edge while engines continued to provide structure point protection; sufficient fireline has been constructed allowing crews to move into mop-up mode.

Work on the northwest perimeter of the fire was difficult because of terrain and limited access. Saturday's fire behavior saw minimal activity with the fire creeping along the ground and smoldering in areas with limited single tree torching. Burning also occurred in green island pockets within the interior. A contingency dozer line was established in the Pipestone area and structure protection groups are assessing the need for further action.

A total for 451 personnel are working on the 4,141-acre fire.

Officials warn that significant number of residences and structures remain at risk adjacent to uncontrolled perimeter and within the fire perimeter near large unburned green islands.

Labor Day weekend is expected to bring large numbers of recreationists to area recreation sites and ORV trails. Containment of the southern half of the fire has been achieved.
