A fire that started on Friday afternoon in Fort Belknap in Blaine County has grown to more than 33,000 acres.
Fort Belknap Fire Management Officer Rick Weasel says the fire is burning in the central area of Fort Belknap reservation.
It was first reported on Friday just before 1 p.m. when a property owner started welding; initial reports indicate that a spark triggered the fire, and the flames were quickly spread by the dry, windy conditions.
So far no structures have been damaged, and no evacuation orders have been issued.
Fire estimated that it is now about 75% contained, and they expect full containment by Sunday.
