Several vehicles were broken into in Butte on Tuesday.

Three cars all had a window broken and items stolen out of them, Butte-Silver Bow Undersheriff Mark Driscoll said. Two of the car thefts happened in the 1000 block of Placer Street at homes across the street from each other. The third took place a few blocks away in the 900 block of Nevada Street.

Driscoll tells us he doesn't know for sure if all the incidents are connected but says they probably are.

Items stolen from the cars include an iPod, purse, money and boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

Driscoll says there was another report of a camera stolen from a car but may not be related since it was taken from an unlocked car in a different part of the city.
