An Anaconda woman has denied stealing money and groceries totaling around $3,000 from Safeway while working as a checker.

Adriana Guindon, 18, pleaded not guilty to the charge of felony theft Wednesday morning before District Judge Ray Dayton in Anaconda.

According to court documents Guindon was caught on surveillance video stealing money from a cash register during her shift. The store's manager and a loss prevention specialist say Guindon admitted to stealing money and items, including DVD's and groceries over a six-month period.

She is out on her own recognizance.
