The admitted getaway driver in an armed robbery of Happy Endings Casino last year was sentenced in Butte Thursday.
Robert Warren, 31, received a three-year deferred sentence and was ordered to pay $586 in restitution Thursday morning. He previously pleaded guilty in connection to a holdup at the casino on Paxson Avenue that happened just before midnight on March 18, 2009.
Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff John Walsh says that Warren was apprehended on March 27, 2009 after police spotted a van in the parking lot of Hastings on Harrison Avenue evening that matched the description of the vehicle seen leaving the casino after the robbery.
According to police, a clerk at the casino reported that two men entered the casino, one from the front door and the other from side door, and pointed a shotgun at him.
The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money and Warren allegedly drove the getaway vehicle.
