Havre woman claims $2M prize in Montana Lottery

HELENA - Shannon Heggem of Havre has claimed a $2 million Powerball in the Montana Lottery.

Heggem bought her ticket at the Holiday store at 200 W. First Street in Havre, for the August 31, 2013 drawing.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing were: 02, 07, 25, 40, 56. Powerball 20.

She is Montana's biggest winner since two Helena friends won a $48.5 million Powerball jackpot in 2010.

Shannon declined to release further information about her win.

Montana Lottery officials note that Havre has seen quite a few winners recently.

On October 31, another Havre woman claimed a $250,000 Scratch prize.

There are also two unclaimed lottery jackpots from the Havre area.

A $30,000 Montana Cash jackpot ticket for the July 3 draw was sold at Stromberg Enterprises, and a $9,000 Hot Lotto ticket for the September 11 draw was sold at the same Holiday store where Shannon won.
