"It was a great season. 13-0 is great", stated a grinning Tanner Roderick.

While people will debate how the 2010 Bozeman Hawks stack up to other great teams in Montana state history, there's no denying they were the best the Treasure State has to offer this season.

In a driving snow storm, the Hawks were never in danger of losing grip of their perfect record. They rolled 28-7 over Helena.

While Roderick started the scoring with a 79 yard run--sprung by a downfield block by junior wideout Nick Beauchaine--it was Justin Pierson who piled on the insurance points. Pierson had a pair of 1 yard touchdowns, in addition to a back-breaking 45 yard touchdown reception with six seconds remaining in first half.

"Kids played great, they did an outstanding job...I get to sleep again", a relived head coach Troy Purcell said after the game. Purcell came to Bozeman High in 2005, fresh off a Class A title in Havre. "This goes out to the middle school coaches, everyone working towards a common goal...13-0, I just can't believe it."

Undoubtedly an unbelievable season, but one that will never be forgotten.
