Jeff Kelly - Morning Meteorologist

Jeff Kelly joined KBZK and KXLF as the morning meteorologist in March 2011. An avid skier, he has been coming to Montana for 20 years. Before joining KBZK and KXLF, Jeff worked at our sister stations, KPAX in Missoula and KRTV in Great Falls.

His first exposure to broadcasting was in the Dodger Stadium press box. Going to work with his Dad and watching, listening and learning from legends such as Vin Scully and Dick Enberg. He's has a diverse background in radio and television. This includes Morning Drive talent, Newsman, Program Director, Music Director, Promotions Director, Talk Show host, TV Weathercaster, Travel reporter, Recreation reporter, Hollywood movie reporter and, hosting many charity events and opening shows on stage at concerts.

He has traveled to almost every state reporting live on TV. This includes a 6 part series on Alaska and a 7 part series on Australia. He has broadcast live from a cruise ship in the Caribbean Sea for eight days, has done TV weather casting in the Cayman Islands TV and as a guest weatherman in Hawaii.

Jeff has interviewed 100s of famous people from his years as a Hollywood reporter and on talk shows he's hosted on both radio and TV.

He spent 13 years in LA radio market on KLAC, KZLA, Star 98.7 and the Westwood One radio network-with 132 stations from coast to coast. For the last 21 years he has worked on television as a weathercaster. He has traversed various states; working 13 years in Phoenix television. Having worked for FOX television in Salt Lake City, Utah, he developed a passion and love for the Rocky Mountains, skiing, and outdoor activities.

His first love is sports. As an outdoor recreation reporter in Utah he learned several new sports including snowboarding, hang gliding, scuba diving, barefoot waterskiing, and fly fishing. It was this passion, that when the opportunity presented itself, he relocated to Montana, for year around sport indulgence. Working in Montana as a weathercaster, has proved challenging and vital to the communities that rely so heavily on his accurate weather predictions and reporting.

Jeff is also owner, operator of WIN Sports Performance, Inc. He is a Level 2 USATF track and field coach, Masters track athlete, PSIA Ski Instructor, USAW Sports Performance coach, USAW Club Coach, AIS stretching certified trainer. Athletic Development Coach and fitness fanatic. Recently he became a Certified Hypnotherapist, specializing in Performance Hypnosis utilizing techniques that will help athletes and other performers maximize their gifts. Recently Jeff tried his hand at stand-up comedy, performing at the Ice House in Pasadena California. He next challenge includes completing all 10 events in the decathlon in the master track and field competition.
