A 32-year-old Butte man was arrested for reportedly driving while under the influence and crashing into the side of a house.

The incident took place on the 1700 block of Gladstone Avenue where Rikin Shah allegedly crashed through a fence with his pickup truck and slammed into the side of the house Friday around 11 p.m., Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff John Walsh said. There was minimum damage to the house; however, Walsh says the pickup truck is heavily damaged.

Police report that when they arrived on scene Shah appeared to be intoxicated and failed the field sobriety tests. He was then booked into the Butte Detention Center and faces DUI and careless driving charges.
