The Montana Special Olympic Summer Games wrapped up Friday in Bozeman.

Closing ceremonies were held early in the morning-- then the focus moved squarely to the track for the walking and running events. All the remaining athletes and all the volunteers were there.
It was a great way to see the unity of the games and volunteer Annie Martell was thrilled to see the athletes experience that inclusion.

"You know, they struggle with this in school and stuff all the time," Martell said. "Not being a part and feeling separate and here they're the center and they're not being left out at all."

Officials say about 1,500 area residents volunteered for the games this year. 50 of the volunteers at the track events were students who drove over from Manhattan.

So, a lot of involvement seen across the Gallatin valley for these games--the last ones for Bozeman.

The event starts a three year stint in Billings next Summer.
