For most every sports fan, the month of March means a few things. For college basketball it means tournament time is now upon us.
For the men of Montana State University, it starts this weekend with a Portland State team coming into Worthington Arena, looking to bounce the Bobcats out of the Big Sky Tournament for the second straight year.
Of course those intentions are not looked upon kindly in Bozeman. Coach Brad Huse says his team will be ready to move on from the accolades it has received for beating the Griz and get down to business with PSU.
"We were pleased with the approach our guys took, the focus they had, intensity they played with and the intelligence, and it really played itself out over the course of that 40 minutes against Montana. If anything we want to build on that and try to take some of that with us, and we're looking forward to Portland," Huse said.
"They're going to be ready to play, just like we're going to be ready too. And I'm sure everybody remembers what happened last year, so everybody's going to be ready to play. It's going to be a good game. We know their scorers will come at us, and it's going to be a tough game," MSU guard Will Bynum said.
The postseason game starts at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
