NorthWestern Energy is predicting energy prices will be stable this winter heating season.

Electricity costs have remained relatively flat and the cost of natural gas has dropped in recent years.

NorthWestern Energy says a typical residential natural gas monthly bill is significantly below the 10-year average.

NorthWestern officials remind people with wood stoves or space heaters to install carbon monoxide monitors, because carbon monoxide poisoning can be mistaken for illnesses like cold and flu.
