The Teton County Sheriff has confirmed that one person has died in a shooting incident in Fairfield.

It happened on Saturday evening.

The man that was shot was transported to Benefis hospital in Great Falls for his injuries, but died en route.

Two people are believed to be involved in the shooting.

One person is in custody; it is not yet known what charges may be pending.

Authorities are investigating the shooting, and have not yet released the names of either person or any further information.
