A plea agreement has been reached in a case involving a Butte woman accused of embezzling more than $123,000 from her employer.

In April, Joanne Walsh, 44, pleaded not guilty to the charge of felony theft. She is accused of writing checks to herself while working as a bookkeeper for Skill Built Truss between 2006 and 2009. Managers notified police of the alleged theft earlier this year after they noticed overdrafts on the business account.

On Thursday, a final pretrial conference was scheduled before District Judge Brad Newman. Instead parties announced that a pre-trial agreement had been reached and Walsh is now scheduled to change her plea at a hearing next Thursday.
