Red flag warnings cover most of Montana as a strong dry cold front pushes through the state overnight into Friday.
Beaverhead-Deer Lodge National Forests the red flag warning is now through 10pm Friday evening. West to SW winds 15 to 25 mph gusting at times to 35 mph and low relative humidity values below 20% will produce critical fire weather and greatly increase fire danger.
For the rest of Montana east of the divide the red flag warning is from noon to 9pm Friday. The cold front will push through Montana from NW to SE and should generate strong gusty winds tomorrow. West winds will be stronger Friday 20 to 30 mph sustained with gusts up to 55 mph and humidity values below 20%. This will set up a critical fire weather situation and raise the fire danger level so please be extra careful with all outdoor activities Friday.
