Volunteers gathered in Anaconda to search for Tammy Salle Tuesday morning.
Salle is the 41-year-old Anaconda woman who has been missing for more than a week. Nearly 20 volunteers were searching near Moose Lake and Copper Creek camp ground, according to Laurie Curry, a member of the volunteer search team and a close friend of Salle.
Authorities instructed the volunteers to look for black garbage bags with red ties and a golden shower curtain, Curry said. The volunteers were told not to touch anything they found and to follow their tracks out.
The search team started at 9a.m. and continued well into the afternoon. The group found nothing.
Curry created a Facebook page to keep friends and family updated on the search for Salle. The Facebook page is called "Help Find Tammy Salle".
Salle's boyfriend, 38-year-old John Goldberg, was found dead due to self-inflicted wounds near Missoula on Saturday, according to Anaconda Police Chief Tim Barkell.
On Monday authorities brought bloodied evidence to the crime lab in Missoula. Barkell said DNA analysis will take several weeks.
Authorities plan to continue to search the area and follow all leads.
