Shane Ewing joined KXLF in September 2008 as a sports and news reporter. He took over as sports director in March 2010.

Shane comes to us from Philadelphia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Annenburg School of Journalism at Temple University in May 2008. While working as a sports and news reporter for Temple's weekly television news program, Temple Update, he covered the Owls football team's rise from being ESPN's lowest-ranked Division 1 football program to a MAC conference title contender.

Shane served as a sports intern for NBC10 and Fox29 in Philadelphia before taking on a news internship at WHYY public radio, where he conducted an in-depth report on gun violence at Philadelphia's recreation centers. Shane spent his senior year in college juggling his schoolwork with responsibilities at Temple Update and a near full-time job as a production assistant at CN8-The Comcast Network.

He remembers a CN8 report at Dover International Speedway where he assisted an interview with Jeff Gordon and was driven around the track at 180 mph inside Carl Edwards' #99 Ford.

Shane is excited to be living in Montana for the second time. His first was as a kid with his parents, Steve and Wendy, who are both Montana natives, and his brother, Keyvin.

Shane, can you tell me if it would be possible to have you do a PSA for our South West Montana Junior Golf Tour?  2010 is our 3rd year of running a Southwest Montana Golf Tour for kids aged 12-17.  This summer, we have 8 tournaments.  The first tourney is the Butte "Kick-Off" Classic at the Highland View Golf Course with subsequent tournaments at Fairmont Hot Springs; Anaconda Country Club; Butte Country Club; Green Meadow Country Club in Helena; Beaverhead Golf Course in Dillon; Deer Park Golf Club in Deer Lodge and the season ending Old Works Championship where we will also determine the Tour Champions of 2010!

Our website has all the details at www.SWMJGT.com.  Here is our ANNOUNCEMENT.  Would you be so kind as to run a public announcement for signups?  Everything can be done online.  It's simple and easy.  BTW: We are a 501c3 non-profit corp.  It's all about the kids.

Here's the ANNOUNCEMENT that we wrote:
