Strong winds blew the roof off of a building along North Main Street in Walkerville this afternoon.
The roof and bricks from the top of Montana Hearth at 1613 North Main Street blew across the street and hit nearby houses, causing minimal damage, according to Centerville Fire Department Chief Mike Doto.
Centerville Fire Capt. Andy Ralph who lives across street from the building said it sounded like an explosion when the debris hit his house.
Wind gusts were reported at 32 miles per hour in Butte this afternoon. In Dillon winds reached 48 mph.
