Griz escape with win in incredible fashion

Posted: Updated:
IDAHO -

We've seen some all-time finishes in college football this year.

Montana and Idaho State added their names to the list on Saturday in Pocatello.

Working in overtime, the Bengals had a chance to seal the win in overtime, needing a 34 yard field goal.

Instead, the snap when over Tanner Gueller's head.

Griz cornerback JR Nelson sprinted for the ball, but momentum squirted it out of his hands where safety Eric Johnson simply scooped it up.

Johnson scampered 40 yards for the game ending touchdown.

Griz are now 5-4 and take on 6-3 Eastern Washington next week in Missoula.
