Bridger Bowl is saying farewell to its second-best season ever with more than 228,000 guests and one iconic chairlift will be shutting down for good.
“It's always exciting to be able to finish strong and have a really good extended season, so we always look forward to that,” said Doug Wales, Director of Marketing and Sales at Bridger Bowl. “But this year the conditions and temperatures for next week don't look favorable. So we are just going out with what we have today and hope for a good season next season.”
But skiers wanting to remember this epic year might be in luck with the proposed sale of one of the ski area’s lifts.
“We expect that we will be selling of our Virginia City chairs,” Wales said. “We do have a buyer that's interested in the lift.”
Wales said that they anticipate that they will have some of the chairs that will be put into some sort of a raffle like they had in the previous years. He said Bridger will make that announcement pretty soon.
If you are one of those people that are interested in signing up for the raffling, check back with Bridger’s website periodically for further details.
