Rob Quist is not joining a new music group but he is picking up some musical support.

Bowzer from Sha Na Na is joining Quist by endorsing his run for Montana’s sole Congressional seat.

“On the night of May 25th, Rob Quist is going to be doing this,” said Jon Bauman, while striking his trademark flexing pose from his Sha Na Na days.

The actor and musician joined Quist at Donivan’s Family Dining in Anaconda to talk to people about the importance and healthcare and their opposition to the current healthcare bill being considered in the Senate.

“This is the No. 1 issue in the campaign, just in the last couple weeks, because people realize that half of Montana have pre-existing conditions and I think in the greatest country on earth people should not have to go bankrupt just because of medical issues,” Quist said.

Quist claims his Republican opponent Greg Gianforte supports this Republican-backed healthcare bill that will be expensive for seniors and other Montanans.

“Rob Quist is going to fight this bill with every ounce of energy and heart and care that he has,” Bauman said.

Some local people shared their personal stories with medical problems and why the issue is important to them. Bauman regularly supports Democratic candidates who support issues concerning senior citizens.

The special election is May 25th.
