YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK -

Most folks headed to Yellowstone National Park are thinking about the geysers and wild animals they are going to get a chance to see.

But the park has a special life system people often overlook, the plant life.  The 2.2 million acre park has seen non-native plants arriving since the cavalry troops patrolled the area and the horses needed food.

Now park officials say that there are around 225 non-native species of plants growing there, many brought in by the large number of visitors to America's first national park.

Park officials are trying to make sure native plants keep growing in the park while asking visitors to be aware of not introducing more non-native plants to the area.
