One person died in a crash on Interstate 90 east of Billings early Tuesday morning.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Michael O'Connor said a man was westbound in a Chevrolet pickup truck when it rolled, crossed the median, and went into the eastbound lane.
O'Connor said it appears the man was then struck by another vehicle.
The man's name has not yet been released.
As of 8:30 a.m., the eastbound lanes on I-90 were still closed as investigators mapped out the crash scene.
O'Connor said he was still investigating the incident, including whether the second vehicle was still at the scene. He said he expects to have more information about the crash later in the day.
(1st Report, 7:41 a.m.) A crash has closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 east of Billings.
The Montana Department of Transportation reports that shortly after 5 a.m. a crash at mile marker 467 blocked both eastbound lanes.
The Montana Highway Patrol has listed the incident as a fatal crash, but further information was not immediately available.
A detour was placed at the Pryor Creek interchange to reroute traffic onto Indian Creek Frontage to Arrow Creek interchange.
The agency advises motorists to slow down, expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
There was no information released on possible injuries.
