Critical fire weather is likely this weekend. Ahead of a strong cold front Saturday into Sunday look for warm, dry and windy weather before the front arrives late into Sunday.
Forecast highs in the 80s, humidity values between 15%-25% and surface winds increasing 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 30 mph is the reason for the Red Flag Warning.
This type of weather this time of year is favorable for new fire starts and small fires can quickly turn into large fires and get out of control.
Please use extreme caution with all outdoor activities this weekend.
