A substantial swing in our weather pattern will bring cooler air, rain, and possibly snow to the region later this week. A cold front is expected to move through Wednesday afternoon bringing a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms and will leave daytime highs in the 70s. Temperatures are expected to fall back to the upper 50s and low 60s on Thursday with scattered showers lingering through the evening.
Areas surrounding Butte, including Silver Bow, Deer Lodge, and areas north could see snow above 6000' by early Friday morning. Rain is expected for most areas, but 1-3" of snow is possible between 6000 and 7000 feet, with 3-6" possible above 7000 feet.
