Manhattan Christian School Harvest Festival honors agricultural heritage with tractor display

Posted: Updated:

CHURCHILL - The Manhattan Christian School's Harvest Festival has been going on in Churchill since 1962.

The festival features a fun run, an outdoor auction, a craft bazaar, and lots of treats.

But this year, they added something new.

A mixture of sixteen antique and brand new tractors was on display for people to take a look at and try out.

This new addition aims to get some of the younger attendees up close and personal with pieces of Montana's agricultural history.

"I hope they come away with an appreciation for our agricultural heritage, but also our school and that it's built on the background of agricultural funds in large part, not totally, but also God's gifts to this community and to this school. We've been very, very blessed over the years," said organizer Howard Walhof.

Walhof says he hopes to double the number of tractors at next year's event.
