BOZEMAN -

BOZEMAN - A Bozeman sixth grader will have a very important role this holiday season.

Senator Jon Tester has asked 11-year-old Ridley Brandmayr to light the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.

Tester is the senior senator from the tree's state, so he was given the task to find the perfect person for the job.

Ridley, like Tester, lost his fingers in an accident, but Sen.Tester says he has shown much determination and will represent Montana well.

The Christmas Tree will be cut down from the Kootenai National Forest on November 8th and will be lit at a special ceremony on December 6th.
