Four men appeared in federal court in Great Falls on Thursday on charges of conspiracy to illegally hunt, kill, and traffic mountain lions; interstate transport and possession of illegally killed mountain lions; and false labeling.

The men are identified in court documents as Richard Ceynar of Williston (North Dakota); Ernest Jablonsky of Plains (Montana); Mitch Theule of Townsend (Montana); and Antonio Todd Tigart of Great Falls (Montana).

If convicted of the most serious charges contained in the indictment, each could face up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
