Get ready to rock: Rockin’ the Rivers kicks off Friday

Posted: Updated:

BOZEMAN - Rockin’ the Rivers Music Festival is up and running after campers loaded into the venue near Three Forks.

The festival will officially run from August 10 -12, with bands including Everlast, Skid Row, and Dennis Quaid and the Sharks.

Each day of the festival around 4,000 people to listen to music, eat from the food vendors and camp out. One of the owners of the festival, Jill Hamilton, has helped out with the festival for the past six years but this year she and her husband helped organize it.

"We really like watching all the local people come in and all the people from so far away, it's really amazing,” said Hamilton. “If you got a map out you could throw a pin in any direction and see, and have darts all over it to see where people are coming from. "

Even though the official kick off isn’t until Friday, attendees are able to listen to five different bands on Thursday night for free.
