The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) is reporting 49 additionally confirmed COVID-19 cases since the Monday update.

The total number of cases has now risen to 4,267, up from the 4,221 reported on Monday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 3,094 and 41 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded to date.

There are currently 1,132 active cases down from 1,179 on Monday.

Additionally, the number of active hospitalizations has fallen from 37 on Monday to 30 -- including 12 county residents.

Two of the new cases as well as 67 of the currently active cases are associated with the University of Montana.

The average of daily new cases per 100,000 has ticked up from 77 on Monday to 78.

The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office confirmed on Tuesday morning that a fourth COVID-19 case has been discovered during the booking process at the local jail

The Missoula City-County Board of Health updated the local COVID-19 restrictions on Nov. 19.

Missoula County residents can call 406-258-INFO weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to discuss COVID-19 information.
