Five residents of a northern Wyoming long-term care facility have died of COVID-19, the state reported Monday.

The residents all lived at a care facility in Big Horn County, Wyoming, although the facility itself was not identified. The deaths all occurred last week.

The deaths included two older women and three older men, according to the Wyoming Department of Health.

One man was hospitalized before his death, and health officials said they weren't clear if the others had been in the hospital.

The state also announced four other COVID-related deaths in other parts of the state for a total of nine.

Among Wyoming residents, there have now been 77 coronavirus-related deaths, 9,783 lab-confirmed cases and 1,694 probable cases reported since the pandemic began.
