Crews battled an early Tuesday morning in the Bitterroot.
The Hamilton and Darby fire departments responded just before 5:30 a.m. to a home on fire near the 400 block of North Main Street in Darby.
The family inside the home when the fire started escaped without injuries.
The southbound lane of US Highway 93 is closed in the area.
Darby Marshal Larry Rose told MTN News it appears the home is a total loss.
He says the family is staying with relatives.
