BILLINGS – An 81-year-old woman was robbed in her own garage on Olympic Boulevard on Monday morning, according to the Billings Police Department.

She was confronted by a man believed to be armed with a screwdriver shortly after she pulled into her garage, Billings police said in a news release.

He demanded her wallet and money, stating he had followed her home from the ATM and that he would kill her if she didn’t give him what he wanted. He then fled in an unknown direction.

The woman described the suspect as a tall, skinny man with dark skin possibly in his 20s. He was wearing mostly gray clothing, a gray cap and concealed the lower portion of his face.

The woman was not hurt but the suspect is still at large, according to police.

The incident is under investigation.
