A light has gone out in our lives, but a new star shines in Heaven. Casey Bernard Boyle, beloved son of Bernie and Peggy (Salazar) Boyle passed away in the early hours of August 10th.
He was born in Butte on May 28th 1987. He attended Butte Central Catholic Schools from kindergarten until his graduation in 2006. He attended Montana Tech, University of Montana and the U of M Western from where he graduated with a degree in Health & P.E. Education. He taught Health and P.E. with much enthusiasm at East Middle School, the Abe Lincoln Alternative School and Butte High School. He was working forward to the new school year and making a difference in some students lives.
Casey was a gifted and talented entertainer and singer. Whether he was putting on shows as a small boy, getting his friends to participate in talent shows in junior high, acting and singing in his four years of high school or singing a solo at State Music Festivals (where he got a perfect score as a senior), he did it with so much joy and life!
He had an affinity for older people, babies and kids with special needs. They all loved him back!
Casey was preceded in death by his grandfathers: John Bernard Boyle Sr., Max Salazar Jr., uncles and aunt Steve, Tim Mark and Faye Salazar and Rick Michaelis, and more recently his grandmother Doris Boyle.
He is survived and will be sorely missed by his parents; Bernie and Peggy; siblings and their families: Dan (Ashley & Madison); Tom (Cristi, MacKenzie, J.T. and Hunter); and Matthew all of Butte. Grandmother Virginia Salazar and aunts and uncles: Colleen, Tom (Rose) and Nonie Boyle; Mike (Lou), Tony (Leah), Terry Bug, Patty & Max (Melissa) Salazar; Tracy Michaelis, Pam (Randy) O’Leary, Kerry (Greg) O’Leary, Jenny (Dan) Fawcett, Kelly (Chris) Ward and Jackie (Tom) Kingston. Numerous cousins, his girlfriend Kaylee Reynolds and so many good friends.
Relatives and friends may call after 12:30PM Friday in St. Ann’s Catholic Church for visitations. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Butte Central Catholic Education, Special Olympics, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butte.
