Marianne (George) DeWolf died peacefully August 27th, 2015 surrounded by her family.

She was born August 10th 1961, the daughter of Bill and Lois George of Butte. Always graceful and delicate, dance was her passion and love growing up. She danced and starting teaching dance at an early age. She was. She cheered for and  graduated from Butte Central in 1979. While in High School she was selected to attend The Miss Regal USA  pageant in Texas,  at that time it was quite an honor. She moved to Helena and attended Carroll College earning a degree in social work, all that time she kept teaching dance under her own studio, Marianne’s School of Dance. She was a certified member of Dance Masters of America and managed the Helena Movement Center for a period of time. She attended the Dance Masters 100th Anniversary convention and workshop with her mother in New York City, and continued to attend similar workshops with her throughout the years. She met and  married William "Biff" DeWolf  October 12th 1990. She continued nurturing many gifted kids though dance in Helena, Butte, Twin Bridges and Sheridan after they moved to Butte to help her parents run and later own Butte Produce & Supply Co. She coached the Butte High Purple Bees for a year also. She finally gave up her dance as Butte Produce grew. She gave birth to her only child, Danielle Rose, on July 23rd, 1999. She was truly the light of her life. She reentered dance vicariously through Danielle and Michelle’s School of Dance and  Dynamic Dance and Tumbling Academy for 12 more years. She volunteered and helped out as often as she could. She enjoyed cooking, camping, family and friends, but really loved being a mother to her animals and especially her daughter Danielle. She was an incredible cook, often times making meals for the large family gatherings of birthdays, holidays and special events. Her almond rocha was to die for, smoked corned beef Wellington on St Patty’s was a work of art. Her pasty’s and press nuts were incredible. She loved the holidays with her mother making divinity, povititsa, and strueckla.  She loved oriental, Italian and Mexican foods. We never went hungry,  and loved the smell of the house when she cooked.
