After 94 good years, Mildred M. Flanigan moved on to join her brothers and sisters in Heaven. She was born in Leeds, South Dakota, on August 01, 1921, to Irish parents, William and Viola Flanigan. Mildred was one of 10 children. The family moved to Butte and later settled in Whitehall, where they operated the town bakery. After graduating from Whitehall High School, Mildred went to school in Dillon and Billings. She returned to Butte and began a career in banking, most notably Prudential Federal Savings.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lenora, Margaret, Geri, and Doris; brothers, Herbert, Robert, and Dick; and her nephew, John Rohan. She is survived by her sister, Lois; brother, Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews, which include Joe Rohan, his wife Mary Jane, and daughter Mary Jo, who provided loving care to Mildred so she could remain in her home to the end; and by Brendan and Meribeth Rohan, their children, April and Matt, and their families, and Jolene Rohan.
Private family services will be held with interment to be held in the Flanigan plot at the Whitehall Cemetery.
