Manhattan School District students sent home due to credible threat

Posted

MANHATTAN – The Manhattan School District has confirmed that students are being sent home due to a credible threat.

Superintendent Scott Chauvet posted the following message on the Manhattan School District #3 website:

Parents, we are currently in a soft lockdown in both the high school and elementary school.  This morning, first thing, there was a written message that concerned administration. We do have law enforcement involved and are following their advice.  We are going to run buses at 11:20 for all students.  We will dismiss students to their parents at 11:45 in front of the elementary school loop.  If you choose to pickup your child, please go directly to the main office or notify your child where to go.

We have a reporter on scene and will update this story as we receive more information.
